Celebrating the 28th Anniversary of the
Rotary Wild Game Feast
This Rotary year marked the
28th Anniversary of the Rotary Wild Game Feast!
The grant recipient for the
28th annual Rotary Wild Game Feast is the Gainesville Agency
Catholic Charities. The grant will
be used to complete their recently built 10,000 square foot Client Service
Center. This area will be used to
support several community activities including the new Weekend Hunger Backpack
Program. In 2010 this program
provided food each weekend for over 350 children. Additional schools are being added this
year.
Catholic Charities currently
supports 15 community programs. The
mainstay of their work is the Emergency Assistance program which currently
supports over 35,000 individuals each year. In addition there are many self-help
classes taught through their Self Sufficiency program.
Through the years our Wild
Game Feast sponsors have been very generous in their support of this community
event. As we enter our 28th
Anniversary year with a declining economy and ever increasing needs for our
support in our community it is even more important to our success that we
continue this strong support. We
are asking each of you to look at the information on the link shown below and
be generous in your support to our efforts.

Deadline for submission was
September 15, 2011. Applications
for the 2013 Rotary Wild Game Feast will be available during the summer of
2012.
